IC: Leaders of Civilization, God-game like concept.
Evening, everyone. I have an idea I've been fiddling around with involving the players in the roles of reincarnating leaders, while the GM is a mysterious, omnipotent force behind the scenes (think AO from the God Games). The system I came up with is pretty easy, based around a d20 die and the ol' high-roll succeeds concept.
System: A Super Simple Homebrew. Based on the God Games and other sandbox-type games.
Focus: Player-GM centered, player-player interaction slowly developed. D20 die for luck and progression, a kind of ‘XP/Reward System’. Paragraph to multi-paragraph threads for story and detail.
Each civilization (I'm thinking three, for starters) is run by an ‘immortal prophet’ – a reincarnating being that continues to guide his people through the Ages and has the power to commune with the Primal Force through Actions. They are the Messengers of the Primal Force, an omnipotent deity responsible for the creation of their world and main continent - a mysterious and ancient land with no one name but many hidden secrets and bountiful resources. Ages can vary any amount of time but must eventually end – the longer one Age goes on, the more chaotic it may become. At the end of the Age, the Messenger passes on and must wait to be reborn, their people adapting to the change in Ages and growing on their own in their absence. The cycle begins again, only with each passing Age, Actions will be more significant as the civilization grows and prosper (or shrinks and falls).
So, would anyone be interested in playing? I'd be able to respond to players daily or every other day. Feel free to ask me any questions or give me some input, I'm all ears (eyes).
