[Interest]Stormbringer/RuneQuest - The Great Conjunction

It is written that in the battles between Law and Chaos, that both Law and Chaos take many different forms across the Million Spheres, and that what seems as one can often seem as the other. But know always that between them that the Cosmic Balance is between them, no matter how much Law nor Chaos tries to rebel. What is curious is that there are sides to Law and Chaos that acknowledge their roles as aspects of creation and the Balance, and other aspects that would destroy all their is, in the delusion that they can be supreme. And inbetween this all is the romance and tragedy of men and women who walk the Million Spheres. For only in Tanelorn, can one find peace, and even the peace of Tanelorn can not mend the grief of a broken heart. Sedenya teaches us that We Are All Us, and that the knife of Sorana Tor is necessary so that we Can Be Us instead of me - the Draconic mystery of Utuma. The price for this, however, is loneliness. The eternal question of this seperation is - can their be truly any happiness without sacrifice?

From the journals of Jar-Eel the Razoress, the 1st of the White Moon Empresses, upon the ascent of her successor to the throne of the White Moon empire, before her last journey past the RuneGate beyond Glorantha and to Tanelorn.

Hello, everyone. In cleaning out my storage I found my old copy of Stormbringer 5th Edition by Chaosium. This is out of print, but it's a great RPG and an Mongoose RQ2 version was also produced. I'm of a mind to run a scenario where adventurers from Glorantha's City of Pavis and Moorcock's Young Kingdom's must join forces to save their respective worlds. I would most likely be using either Chaosium's 5th Edition Stormnbringer rules or the MRQ2 Elric of Melnibone adaptation under RQ6. Glorantha material would be adapted from RQ6.

What do you think?

I offered up a Stormbringer game a few months ago and had 7 apps within a few days. Interest is definitely there. I'd say go for it

Most definitely interested. I played a little Stormbringer years ago and loved it.

Re: [Interest]Stormbringer/RuneQuest - The Great Conjunction

The Eternal Champion novels were an early love of mine, and the first (and really only) campaign I ever ran was with the Elric rules that were published in the mid/early 90's.   I'm not really familiar with Runequest.

Suffice to say, would be interested in this.

Stormbringer has been my first step in the larger world of roleplaying... If only I were not involved in so many games...

Re: [Interest]Stormbringer/RuneQuest - The Great Conjunction

RuneQuest is a d100 based system quite similar to Stormbringer. Glorantha is a setting, IMHO a wonderful one, but then I started roleplaying in Glorantha so I'm biased ;)
