This is a check to see if anyone here remembers and/or is interested in playing a Blue Rose game on the boards. I recently had to go through my books after a move and found the three BR books and got to reading them again. I remember having a lot of fun with them a few years ago, with a Blue Rose/Black Rose meld (a Ravenloft-inspired world through the shadowgates). We had fun, moved on, and the books got put up.

So, is anyone here interested in a Blue Rose game?

Oh I remember Blue Rose its an interesting system.

Blue Rose formed the basis for what would eventually become Green Ronin's True20 and Mutants And Masterminds rules.

Exactly. And I've been reading True20 and BR again recently and wondering how it stacks up after 7-10 yrs or so of additional game design. I remember some complaining about how True20 didn't really hold up under long-term play in terms of balance, but I've never really had long-term play experience with it myself.

Anyway, I figured I'd try to see if some were interested in it and maybe get an initial one-shot going to see if the interest holds up for mid- to long-term play.

Sounds interesting, although I don't have the BR books. I do have a number of the True20 ones though.

True20 is also an option, I have some of the PDFs and it seems decently suited to gaming.

Anyone else interested, or have a preference one way or the other?
