(I.C.) Sisters of Rapture DnD dungeon crawl parody, let say?

Any interest In a very tongue in cheek reinvention of the overused tropes such gelatinous cube, but with a swimsuit.  It is catching g on with Orcs anyhow.  A small group of rule disregarding writers in search of a treasure that can literally save itself, now you must save it from ......two Dragons. Elvish ESL o.k.

Is English your first language my friend? Cause the post above makes relatively little sense: or maybe I just don't get the joke.

I am not entirely certain of what this is about, but a parody-type adventure could be interesting.

The premise sounds... interesting.

Were you thinking of using a version of D&D to run it, or something else?

It probably would be perfect for Dungeon World plus the SexyTime Adventures parody hack.

Alas, I admit to having neither, and it would likely make my eyes bleed if I tried to run this.

Imagine an adult version of "Shrek", only much more poorly dubbed and drawn, throw in some "Holy Grail", and a simple game mechanic of something like I don't know "Aye Dark Overlord" and DnD stats.  Blend it all in an underground lair far to long and expansive to make any sense as most good dungeons do and presto.. You have a crawl of fun.  Or not, most of the time it is or not, but it is an idea and interest check.  Imagine a land of endless vorpal-ness, true story.

Does, anyone remember the, story telling game based on Baron Von M?  Something like that with a few more silly rules and maps....

A very good Parody adventure was printed for AD&D that could easily be converted to PF, I believe it was called "Castle Greyhawk".  Freaking hilarious....:)

See somethingawful.com Erotic Monster Manual Comtest for a pretty funny article that inspired such silliness. That is the point of irony, a jello like cube wearing a bikini, I suppose it is all in the timing... Fact is there are some seriously funny people here on rpol and sometimes gaming becomes all to serious and taxing in a strange stat crunching manner, thus games such as Toon and Paranioa hit the market.  Anyone familiar with Aye Dark Overlord might be interested in a story telling format, because no matter how much copper coins you collect in a life time of RPing the bank refuses it even when rolled smooth and tightly;)

I love the idea. It reminds me heavily if the Munchkin card game. I'm not sure if have time to play, but I would be willing to look at the game setup and see if I could make it work.

Sounds a lot like Munchkin, I actually think there might be a d20 Munchkin out there too.
(Goes to check).

EDIT: there is
If you get something like this up I'd like to have a look.

Re: (I.C.) Sisters of Rapture DnD dungeon crawl parody, let say?

In reply to Rothos1 (msg # 14):

Yes Munchkin D20 exists, out of print?  Then there is Kobolds ate my baby or Hackmaster.  I was hoping for something very slimmed down, based on story telling, where each player gets to tell or make up what is happening to the next player according to whether their character passes a test or feat. Then the GM inserts another feat or trap to the next player and they explain what happened and it moves on to the next player, a kind of spades, or hearts card set up. Thus check out Aye Dark Overlord for examples of play, only this would have some stats and characters.

I could see a group of four, with the basic classes only slanted for comedy.

The Fighter: Busty Barbarian Amazon Female who hates the sight of blood and has very interesting view on armor and her AC points.

The Wizard: Huge troll or an Orc who has extremely low intelligence, and most of his spells backfire in a completely random way, also specializes in the Fungus School of Illusionists.

The Ranger: An old Gnome half blind, with little to no Awareness but has enough gadgets to get through any dungeon or World Fair Expo.

The Thief: Buxom Barmaid with hardly enough dexterity to refill pints, but can take down an Ogre through years of dealing with dwarfs who want to get touchy.

You can probably come up with better than that, but a game you can probably play from your phone, one liners would be alright and the OOC would probably have more strategy than the game.  No, but that is the basic premise, starting off with the adventures meeting up at the "Pegasus Pig Pub", the most feared and dangerous ale house in the Unforgettable Realms for no reason and and joining up to enter KneeWaterDeep Dungeon for gold and treasure and mocking, silly "kiniget" good times.

And of course players and NPCs would die in the most fantastic ways possible, thinking adult for that reason and I like my comedy "RAW", not "Cosby".  Don't get me wrong the Coz is great.

Anyone who has already expressed interest will get a PM, as soon as game is up, we only need a few more.  Thanks and any other ideas on systems and such are always warmly accepted. Cheers.
