Having recently bought the latest issue of Pyramid (#3/72 Alternate Dungeons) and read Sean Punch's article "Pointless Slaying and Looting" about a simpler and faster way to create GURPS characters for Dungeon Fantasy games. I'd like to try that out on a Star Wars game.

All the building blocks will be provided by me, described using standard GURPS 4e terms and plain text. Those that trust those descriptions will need absolutely no GURPS books to play. If you want to know what they mean or figure out how the system works, you may want the two volumes of the Basic Set at least.

Both new and veteran GURPS players are welcome.

Would there be any interest in such a game?

This sounds pretty interesting. I have a little experience with GURPS and I'm a big Star Wars fan. When/where in the GFFA where you thinking of setting a game?

I was thinking I might convert the Dawn of Defiance campaign to GURPS. It starts approximately six months after episode 3, covers an arc of ten adventures, and transforms the characters from individuals into Rebellion recruits and into heroes of the early Rebellion.

As to where, it will take place in a number of locations across the galaxy. Some known from the movies, others not so much.

Jedi will be welcome in the game and I expect I will be running the Force pretty fast and lose. Though Jedi are hunted and any PC Jedi has to take that into account.

That sounds cool, definitely intrigued.
