Superheroes, Cyberpunks, or Paranormal Investigators (oh my)
I'm going to run a black-box (hidden system) roleplaying focused game, a variation on one of three themes. If one or more of these options appeals to you, let your interest be known, and I'll give you slight preference when it comes to choosing players.
Downsizing: A game set in the near future, cyberpunkish. Players are corporate hot-shots destined for a fall. Gameplay will consist of crawling back up from the gutter, and the choice to try and recapture your old life, begin a new one on the other side of the law, or single-mindedly pursue revenge. Less "80s-cyberpunk" and more "modern futurism".
Volunteers: A superhero game set in the modern day. Players are among the settings first superhumans, but they have a lot of company. More postmodern than gritty, definitely not four-colored, with an examination of the transformative psychology and sociology of transhumanism.
Paranormal.com Players are writers, crew, and performers of a paranormal investigation web series. They travel the country investigating unnatural phenomena and reporting on it for their loyal viewers. Better shows means better ratings... but are they prepared to deal with what they find when things get real?
