D&D 5th Edition Players Wanted- 5 max
Short version: Homebrew, mostly human-based culture and races (variant human allowed), strong narrative, strong character development and descriptive posting a must....Here's a sample of my writing style:
Whoever thought of corrugated tin covering the rooftops? To be certain, it slowed down the ever-constant rain from soaking into the building itself. Unfortunately the architects who engineered the rooftops of this fishing village were not drainage experts. It was no wonder that each building here was built up on raised stilt-like beams; the village "centre" was probably buried under a knee's depth of water already, with no sign of letting up. Coupled with the rise and fall of the wind, the static patter of droplets was nearly deafening.
"I said, 'Do you want some more hot tea, lad?'" The older woman held a clay teapot of the stuff in one hand, as she used her other hand to support her own sagging weight against the table. There was no sign of steam from the pot, and little enough warmth coming from the woodstove in the shop's center. This poor woman, ("Berrena"?...was that her name?) and her little shop were the heart of Grypp. Here the fishermen could purchase netting or have it mended by one of the shopkeepers litter of unattractive, unwed daughters. Here also was live bait shelved beside jars of dried oats and flour, fishooks arrayed by size in a rack next to three home-spun wool blankets. Grypp, a microcosm of all that was grey, mediocre, and lightless in this world...
The stranger to this town sat on one of the four, high stools that were placed around the woodstove. The feeling of cold in his fingers was a constant, depsite having to share the warmth with only the owner (Maybe it was "Berna"?...). The daughters had blessedly vanished off somewhere and not one of the other souls in this village would bother venturing out of their homes in this weather to warm themselves here. Two minutes in the deluge would require two hours by a much larger fire.
"A biscuit perhaps? I could put one on the stove 'ere to warm it up a bit?"
