Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra game

Hey folks, since watching the excellent third season of Korra and revisiting TLA, I've been thinking about how someone might go about running a game in the setting.

Among systems I know I was thinking Mutants and Masterminds would be pretty good, just deciding which powers fit different elements of bending beforehand.

I saw that there is a d20 adaptation online but I don't really like the fit with the setting.

I was also wondering about more "narrative" game systems that would let combat be more of a descriptive exercise for the players without as many rolls. This might flow better in play by post and allow for the drama that often accompanies the fighting. But I'm not familiar with too many such systems - maybe Fate, from what I've heard about it.

Any ideas, or interest in playing in the setting here?

We use the Coretex Marvel Heroic RPG, with very minor tweaks... And it feels perfect.

Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra game

I've been dabbling with a freeformy  'guidelines' system that uses points to buy someskills, both mundane and bending techniques,

MHR really makes sense though, I dabbled in a game a while back that was doing that but the GM vanished. If anyone is running such a game in MHR/freeformy (or other if you'll help with systembits) feel free to rmail me.

Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra game

I'd like to be a part of something like this, but wonder what the status would be for those of us who are mostly freeform writers? I can understand dice rolls and the likes, as well as understand that a system may make this sort of game a bit more controlled, but would love to be a part of this if the rules required are easy to learn.
