IC 'Web of the Spider Cult'

Web of the Spider Cult

1936. When you find a dead body in your house, especially one which belongs to a notable explorer, you know it’s not going to be an ordinary day.

A Triple Ace, ‘Daring Adventures’, pulp tale for the Ubiquity Roleplaying System. Best known as the engine for ’Hollow Earth Expeditions’.

“The heroes have been abroad for a few weeks and have just returned to America. Lady Amelia Valentine, a close friend of the group, greets the adventurers and invites them back for a celebratory drink. The adventure begins as the characters approach her front door”.

Anyone interested?

Re: IC 'Web of the Spider Cult'

If you're running Hollow Earth, then yes I'd be interested.

In reply to Hunter (msg # 2):

I take it then you have the HEX core rulebook?
Yes it will basically be HEX but more Surface World than Hollow Earth. The Ubiquity system developed by Exile is exactly the same whether it be in one of the Triple Ace games or in the original Hollow Earth Expeditions.
I will be adopting a few ideas from other games, but it will make little difference to the Ubiquity Core system.

Re: IC 'Web of the Spider Cult'

You don't have to go into the hollow earth to use the system.  but yes, I have the core book.  And secrets.  And mysteries....

Re: IC 'Web of the Spider Cult'

If I do run this, then, to coin a phrase, I'm going to run a very tight ship. I will expect a rapid turn over of posts, at least once per day. Players have seven days grace to post, failure to do so without prior notification will find the character made a permanent NPC. Also one thing that reduces online play to a crawl is combat, therefore once we begin an initiative phase players have twenty four hours to post their action. Fail to do so and the character will be NPCed, and may take an action not desired.

If those interested can live with this then let me know and I'll put the game up. Apologies if this sounds a bit harsh, but I've had bad experiences elsewhere.

Re: IC 'Web of the Spider Cult'

I'm on almost every day, so as long as it's a bit flexible in that regard (you're not going to kill of my character or something like that) then that's fine with me.

"A bit flexible" is fine. Oh and I don't count weekends either.
