I want to run a second game...

I want to run a second game...

In about a week or two, I'd like to start running another game.  I have a few things I'd really like to run but I tend to be a little unique in what I like and there's no point going through the hassle of setting up a new game if no one wants to play, right?

So here's what I'm thinking, in order of what I'd like to run most:

  • Agents of the IDF - this is a Monte Cook's World of Darkness game in the tone of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD: essentially, you will play an Awakened member of an elite IDF (Intrusion Defense Agency) team travelling around the country (and allied countries, and, if you can do so sneakily and under-the-radar, un-allied countries) investigating and containing effects and agents of the Iconnu.
  • Spaceship Zero - Spacecorp built the BTL (Better Than Light) drive to make space travel quick and easy.  You were one of the crew on the maiden voyage; unfortunately, the BTL didn't work as expected and a new Big Bang erupted around the ship.  After sleeping for 13 billion years in a deconstituted state in the hopes that the new universe would be a copy of the old universe, you awake!  Frogstar?  What the hell is Frogstar?  And who is this Chosen One, anyway?
  • Call of Cthulhu d20 - just a standard, Arkham-based CoC game using the CoC d20 rules.

Anyone interested?

Re: I want to run a second game...

OK first of all I throw all the votes aside for a minute and scream like a little girl at how cute the name frog star is! OK now that that's out of my system(for now...)the second idea spaceship zero jumped out the page at me, and then proceeded to hit me with the girlie stick. Eh... anyway that's my vote, interest confirmation.

Space ship zero could be interesting depending on rule system and where the story goes. ect

Re: I want to run a second game...

Spaceship Zero is actually a stand-alone RPG put out by Green Ronin a few years back.  It was written by Toren "MacBin" Atkinson (who has done artwork for MANY, many RPGs and is the front-man for the awesome band Darkest of the Hillside Thickets).  It uses a very BRP-esque system.  It's a tribute to 1950s and 1960s space TV shows like Lost in Space with more than few nods in H.P. Lovecraft's direction.

You wouldn't need the rules if I went SSZ, we'd do character creation as part of the game.

Re: I want to run a second game...

I actually have a copy of Spaceship Zero gathering dust on my bookshelf somewhere, and as I hate the idea of my books gathering dust, I am interested in any game of Spaceship Zero that may be in the offing.

Re: I want to run a second game...

I just recently got into sci-fi type games myself, but am clueless to game systems. If it's easy enough for a noob to learn, then you can count me in. Otherwise, I'd go with the majority vote and say SSZ, with a preference for free form.
