[IC] Star Wars d10 (nWoD 2nd Ed)

I'm doing the finishing touches on my Force Sensitive template for using the NWoD2e system (Blood and Smoke, GMC, et al) and am wondering if anyone would want to try it out? I'll post the doc when it gets closer to complete. I'll probably be taking 5 players total. As for the time period? I'm flexible, and am making the bare bones of the setting transferable between the Clone Wars era, Dark Times/Rebellion era, and the Old Republic era. I'd like to hear any suggestions on time period that anyone interested has. I'll take any recommendations into thought.

I'm not adverse to running a dark sider campaign, or even a light sider campaign, in fact, I'd run a campaign of non-Jedi/Sith Force users also. Just want people to play Force Users. Now to get the Canon debate out of the way. Since Star Wars canon s no more, I'll end up pulling bits and pieces I like, and changing some parts. For instance, I'll include aliens not seen in the EU or movies, but that's not a big departure. (if a player wants to play a species that they want to put in GFFA, tell me and I can stat it for play.)

Anyhow. This interest anyone?

Are you looking for someone to just test the rules with you or looking to actually run a game?  I'd be willing to do the former, but not the latter.

Actually run a game. The rules won't be too radical, there's enough material in WoD to pull most every Force power where I don't have to completely remake everything.

Ah, ok.  Not really looking to get into a SW game.  Testing out rules would have been one thing.

I'd be up for one of these. Rebellion era (there's only one).

Is that a preference, or the only Era you wish to play in?

Strong preference. It is my opinion that other eras are in no way nearly as thought out as original one and but a vessel for commercialization of Star Wars universe.

I respectfully disagree, but I get your point. I'll take it into consideration, if I get more players.

I'd potentially be interested, though I can't say I'd have any interest in a rebellion era game, personally. It's a fine setting, but it just isn't one I really want to play in. An Old Republic Era game would be aces, though, especially if it happened during a period like the mandalorian war.

I'm mildly familiar with Mandalorian Wars. They happened some time after the Great Sith War, and it's the war Revan fell in. That's about it though.

Re: [IC] Star Wars d10 (nWoD 2nd Ed)

Yeah. I'll be honest, I'm turned off of a lot of star wars games that crop up here on rpol because so many of them call for a setting or a premise that makes a Jedi character impossible. That's all fine and good, but playing Knights 2 was what revived my interest in star wars after the second trilogy nuked it.

Re: [IC] Star Wars d10 (nWoD 2nd Ed)

Exactly the kind of game I want to run. I was more asking too if the consensus leaned towards Sith, if that'd be fine with you. I'm enamored with the idea of setting the game in a place where Force Use is high, since my system is made for, well, Force Users. Heroic Mortals will use the Dark Hero template when they appear, but I'm more interested in running a game about the Force.

Re: [IC] Star Wars d10 (nWoD 2nd Ed)

Duly noted. I'm trying to gauge what people want to play. I don't want to have a problem getting enough people, or a problem with people disliking the era. This is important for a Star Wars game.

I would love to play a star wars game that was in an era where Jedi exist.

So far I have 2 to 1 for Old Republic era. Which is cool, if anyone wants to state interest, keep posting. I'm finishing up the rules, and when they are done, I'll start the game.

So far I'm thinking that the treatment will do with a planet being fought over by the Republic and the Empire, and you'll play agents of one of the side (or a native of the planet helping your people join one side or the other) as a base.

Re: [IC] Star Wars d10 (nWoD 2nd Ed)

Hey all! Nice to see this is still going. Been busy, but still writing. After watching Rebels episode 1, I'm thinking of running a game about a cell of Inquisitors. It'd be your first mission, untested and unsure. Thing is, like many Inquisitors, you were pressed into service, and this way of life after being discovered to be Force Sensitive. It'd be partly a mortality tale, with looking into the ways of the Force through your interaction with non-Jedi Force traditions, and the like, with the ability to even leave the Inquistorous, if that's desired. Any thoughts on that idea?

Re: [IC] Star Wars d10 (nWoD 2nd Ed)

I like the idea of a morality tale, and exploring the inquisitors Palpatine used to skirt the rule of two seems like a really interesting way to do that. It's also a nice way to include the force and give players access without letting it subsume their characters quite the way the Jedi order can.

I'd definitely be interested.
