New Lone Wolf RPG Discussion Group

Anyone interested in discussing the information released so far by Cubicle 7 relating to their new Lone Wolf RPG?

Let me know here and I will set up a group.

This is wonderful! I had to pledge!

Have you tried other Cubicle 7 games?

Re: New Lone Wolf RPG Discussion Group

Yeah, I'm a fan of Rocket Age, Primeval and Kuro...

I got into RPGs through playing the Lone Wolf books back in the 80's and have played the other games by Mongoose Publishing, but this one looks to be a lot better than they turned out to be. I've put my £20 down for the boxed set to begin with.

They look like a competent lot, and if Dever finally found a team to trust Lone Wolf to, this can't be but good news!

I was introduced to rpgs by gamebooks, too, even though Lone Wolf wasn't one of my favourites at the time, but I'm replaying them through the app, and I'm enjoying them a lot!

Also, I wanted to ask you about Kuro, knowing my friends, they would love to play it, but the game system doesn't look much streamlined.

Please restrict the conversation here to the proposed game/forum.  Other games/rules systems should not be discussed in this thread.

Thank you.

I guess you'll have to rmail me any questions though I've not played this other non-specified non-game you are not referencing.

Re: New Lone Wolf RPG Discussion Group

I saw on site that they will use a system based on the gamebooks, I'm really curious to see how they're going to pull it off, I myself tried to tweak it in something more rpg-like, but it was an utter failure...

My apologies for writing out of topic, the excitement from the other games of the publisher got the best of me.

The KS updates provide a draft of the character sheet and notes... looks interesting.

Indeed they do, I'm really looking forward to it!

But do you think this will impact in some way with Project Aon?

Re: New Lone Wolf RPG Discussion Group

In reply to the_Cava (msg # 12):

I don't think it will have an adverse effect no. In the same way that the previous two rpgs were different,  dealing with events before the books.

The Project Aon stuff is strong enough as it is based exclusively around keeping the original book series up to date. I'd be interested to see how later Cubicle 7 books deal with events of the original gamebooks.

Re: New Lone Wolf RPG Discussion Group

Once again, the sole topic of conversation in this thread should be whether or not people would be interested in a discussion board to talk about these new rules.  The new system itself should not be discussed here.

Re: New Lone Wolf RPG Discussion Group

The KS has ended so we will hopefully be getting word soon on when the playtest rules are released and we can set up a proper IC for the game.
