asoiaf: King's Landing
I am currently running a game with several consist players and the adventure is leading to King's Landing.
I was given an idea of expanding the game to the daily lives of those that live and stay in the city.
The concept is a new set of players, who will create PCs that are master blacksmiths, bakers, inn owners, city watch, etc. etc. and even a cat house or two. PCs will not be heads of noble houses, or major PCs. BUT they can be hedgeknights, mercenaries, and freemen that live and stay in King's Landing for one reason or another.
Your PC can be leaders in organizations involved in the trade of goods, of the faith, provide services, or both to consumers or to other businesses, or services to nobles; the ideas can be endless.
It would be the daily interaction and mostly free forum for this group. Some rolling for the creation process and some rolls for monthly events that get played out in IC. Also the PCs from the other game would move over their characters from the other game and interact with the locals of King's Landing. GMs will reveal information that can be shared or not with the PCs that travel through or stay at King's Landing.
This is intended to add a new layer of RPing to both this new game concept and our current game. It will be a stand along game, have its on game heading and separate ICs as well as separate house rules just for its players, so PCs from the other game would be visitors and some may never even make it to interact with anyone from this game.
An example of a few ideas, when a player is looking for a new suit of armor or to repair his armor he will have to RP it with you the shop owner, or if the player wants to go to the nearest cat house he will interact with you. It will even include being an innkeeper and you can share the rumors as you see fit, even make up a few if you like and spread your own rumors.
You set the standards you control all the NPCs of your establishment you RP the fun.
So the question, .... would there be a big interest in something like this?
