{IC} Pathfinder or Semi-Freeform Mythic Style Adventures

Hello all, its been a while but I finally have the time to start posting here again. My gaming group in RL recently picked up mythic for ourselves and I love it. Larger than life heroes, powerful and truly wicked villains. Good stuff.

I was wondering if there was any interest for a fantasy game about larger than life heroes. The game would be looking for groups of 2-3 players so that we can keep the game flowing a bit faster. Probably just 1 group of 2-3 players at the beginning of the game though more might be picked up later.

I want to mention that I am really only interested in the scope of pathfinder mythic and not tied entirely to the rules set. I have not had much success with Pathfinder or other d20 systems here on RPoL mostly due to posting frequency in and around times of combat. Even in real life the tactical style of combat tends to bog down and that frustrates me a bit. So for the system I might try something a little more free-form than the actual pathfinder rules but I am not sure on exactly what it would be.

Feel free to voice suggestions with your posts of interest if you like, but my resources are a bit limited so more simplistic or free ($$) systems are more likely for me to pick up.

You could use the actual PF and Mythic rules to create characters but only use that as a guideline for what the PCs are capable of. The actual game could be run as freeform using the rules as a base for what they can and can't do.

Yeah, that was one of the things that I was considering. Perhaps keeping AC and saves and using the rest of the abilities as Keywords or Guides about the characters abilities.

Does this mean that you would be interested in playing a game like this?

I would as well, though it would be my first freeform game.

I would be interested. I like the idea of Mythic, I just don't like all the crunch and mechanics of PF, especially playing online.

I'd be interested in playing whatever you put out, I'm no stranger to freeform and I know a moderate bit about PF.
