Ic: Demon: the Descent.

Wondering who would be interested in a sandbox game of this?

Yes! Def would be!

Got a strong character concept ready to go for a Demon game :)

Re: Ic: Demon: the Descent.

This is certainly a game I'm interested in playing, but still unfamiliar with the system.  Have the main book but still working my way through the pages.

Re: Ic: Demon: the Descent.

I'm still reading chunks of it myself, though I get the general rules. I'm pretty interested to see how a Demon could offer a Pact to a mortal without it being a Compromise check.

What I mean is, Mortals cannot offer a person money/good looks/physical prowess/enhanced intelligence in exchange for other mortals thinking the person offering the Pact did what the Pactbound had. If a guy offered me cash or whatever for making my ex think our relationship was between him and her, I'd question how someone could do that...

Re: Ic: Demon: the Descent.

I'm not worried about familiarity with the Demon system as I am with familiarity with the nWoD system. Honestly, I'm reading the book myself. I'm a good way into it, and I figure I'll be done by the time enough interest is generated. To start I would want 3 or 4 dedicated players, and it being an open sandbox I will add people as they find it.

Re: Ic: Demon: the Descent.

Oh, I'm in anyway... I've been in a Demon game before, I know the outlook and I started reading the Core for the last game I was in (which unfortunately suffered from missing GM syndrome and died). I also have been in alot of nWoD games besides, so if this game gets going I'll have a good reason to treat myself to the new Player's Guide, 'Flowers of Evil' ;)

Re: Ic: Demon: the Descent.

Really my only caveat is to not have to deal with those '10 steps' questions I see in practically every nWoD game now. I really don't want to see those.

That kind of thing doesn't apply to a Demon (as they were never mortal to begin with so thats the 1st Step out already...). Backstory can be generated from other things instead, mainly what Angel they were, what their Cover is and the 5 Compromise questions that are used to have NPCs around that can trigger potential compromise checks when the game is running.

Re: Ic: Demon: the Descent.

Yeah, I can't stand when an ST/GM requires players to fill out a four-page questionnaire to "get a feel" of their character. Especially AFTER they've been accepted into the game. >_<

As far as I'm concerned though, I will ask the 5 Compromise questions, and a couple others, but nothing major.

Re: Ic: Demon: the Descent.

Yeah, the 5 Compromises I'm cool with, they're part of the game after all and make some fun little scenes potentially.
I don't have a prob filling out a charsheet and doing a simple character outline detailing the concept before being added. I think the concept if worded correctly and say two paragraphs explaining who the char is generally would be all you need to know if the char is going to fit into the game or not.
