IC: Guided Freeform Fantasy Lifepath thingy
Okay, here's the deal.
I'd like to run a fantasy game where players start as children, grow into young adults, and then take off adventuring.
Childhood in a small agricultural village will be played through quickly, in a series of stages to determine what happens to you. Sort of playing through your backstory. Your choices will determine what skills and abilities you end up with when you start adventuring.
(I'm going for a certain amount of realism, so the most likely scenario is you ending up with farming or craft skills, and having to learn more practical adventuring traits as an adult.)
System will be homebrew and behind he scenes; from your perspective it'll be more or less guided freeform.
What you know of the world will grow depending on the choices you make. As a child, all you'll know is your family and the village. For some of your neighbors, that's all they end up knowing.
When you're of age (between 14 and 18 in a medieval setting) you'll have the opportunity to leave your village behind and become an adventurer.
