Fallout Equestria

I'll just let that title sink in for a moment or two...

Finished bein' whatever it was you were bein'? Good, love and tolerate.

Now to answer any questions you might have. Yes it's a weird premise, yes that's Equestria the setting of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, yes you'd be playing ponies, yeah I guess that makes me a brony, but if you bothered to read the story on FIMFiction or listen to the dramatic readings of CrazedRambling on youtube, you'd know just how buckin' awesome a setting and concept it is and thus how impossible it is to ignore such raw awesomeness.

Anyway I'm thinking of using some heavily modified Fallout PnP rules, which are frankly low quality, and the process might take a couple weeks to complete, so I guess what I'm looking for is to see if there would be any interest in the game first and foremost before getting down to what the rules would be.

So anyone interested in a little Fallout Equestria?

Re: Fallout Equestria

I don't know much about the show, but I didn't think it was normally post-apocalyptic. So, would the setting be a post-apocalyptic version of the happy cartoon? Please forgive my ignorance, I'm just curios how that would work.

IMNSHO, this link contains the essence of a more awesome crossover. Warning: haters gonna hate with the heat of a thousand suns.

Re: Fallout Equestria

Pretty much, though I wouldn't say it's very happy any more, unless you consider Happy Tree Friends, happy.

Personally I think CrazedRambling says it best in his dramatic reading of the story's intro. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCyD3-jSFNU

Re: Fallout Equestria

I don't know much about the custom rules they made for it, but of what little I saw so far, I would prefer to play it using the Savage World of My Little Pony rules instead.

Either way I am interested.

Re: Fallout Equestria

Might consider it, but SPECIAL is as much a part of Fallout as rad-scorpions and 50's post apocalyptic Americana, or Equestria-na in this case.

Re: Fallout Equestria

Never thought people would tie mechanics into setting. I always have them separate in my mind, but then I'm autistic, so I guess I'm just weird like that.

Re: Fallout Equestria

Checked the rules over at Fallout Equestria Resource? I know of at least two rulesets there.

Also interested.

Re: Fallout Equestria

@DarkLightHitomi: Maybe it's just because I'm an old school Fallout fanboy having played 1 2 and Tactics when they came out, or maybe I just really like percentile dice, but SPECIAL is kinda special to me lol

@Apathetic23: If you have links that'd be wonderful because digging through 178 topics to find what you're referring to is kind of a lot. Found a few rule sets on my own, but the google doc supplied by Kkat looks to be the best put together so far.

@OakMaster: Not really familiar with it, will check it out though. Addendum: Fate looks like an interesting system, but it's no SPECIAL, even if it also has 7 stats and 18 skills like the original Fallout.

Hmmm, the writer of Fallout Equestria, Kkat herself, suggested the following rules, and they look pretty professional. Might change a few things here or there though, just because.

Wow, I just might be up for a game with these rules. This seems quite interesting.

Re: Fallout Equestria

Thinking about giving the game an adult rating because well... raiders. Can't have a proper raider den without explicit violence and gore right?

Would this disqualify any of you already interested?

Re: Fallout Equestria

I wish I wasn't able to get into adult games because of being too young.  That's been... entirely too many years.

Honestly, considering the source material I would be disappointed if it wasn't at least Mature. Fine by me. Also sorry for not linking it. Wasn't really thinking.

Re: Fallout Equestria

No problem, and with four mediocre "Yays" to no "Neighs" for an adult rating I guess we'll just have to be adults about being candy colored small horses traipsing across a post apocalyptic wasteland as we fight for our lives and possibly even "the good fight" as DJ Pon3 would say.

link to another game

Game's up, feel free to RTJ and we'll get down to character creation and deciding whether or not to start you guys off beaten battered and alone or in one or more groups, that have also been recently abused. lol
