Star Trek: Fate Accelerated...

Star Trek: Fate Accelerated...

I'm thinking of running a Star Trek game using the Fate Accelerated rules. The premise is below. Any interest?

The recently signed Khitomer Accords have left a generation of Starfleet Offiers adjusting to life without the constant threat of the Klingon Empire. As the Federation is feeling out their Uneasy Alliance with the Klingons, tensions across the Alpha and Beta Quadrants are building. Even as the Federation refocuses on exploration and peacekeeping missions there are Whispers of War. The Cardassians are growing bolder, incidents with rogue Klingon ships continue along the border, and the elusive Romulans are more active than ever.

The year is 2301 and the USS Challenger is near the end of her one-year shakedown cruise...

Humm that would be between the old movies and STNG correct? What class of ship is the Challenger?

Yeah, the time between the TOS movies and TNG. The ship is an Excelsior-class starship.

I'd be interested. Which non-human races are you permitting?

Anything that's in the Fed up to the TOS movies, including the animated series. So Caitian, Edosian, Deltan, and Efrosian. All the standards, Vulcan, Tellarite, Andorian, and the rest. You could make a case for some TNG-era species, like Betazoid and Bolian, but those would be a really hard sell.

Re: Star Trek: Fate Accelerated...

Well, it stands to reason those would have all been in the Federation already, and we at least know the Trill were part of the Federation in Kirk's era.

Re: Star Trek: Fate Accelerated...

Memory core alpha and beta are good sources for races. Many have been members long before we saw them on screen.

Re: Star Trek: Fate Accelerated...

Are you going to give aspect and stunt options for races/jobs like the Toolkit suggests?

In reply to pesterfield (msg # 11):

I wasn't planning on it, no. And as for alien species, Memory Alpha is what I would rely on.

All right. So I've pulled the trigger and posted some stuff to the game.

Come on down if you're interested.
