Ezri:
For the home setting, would people prefer to be adventurers wandering the world or have a home base and not really go too far from it most of the time?
Flexible, but mild preference for the former (wandering the world). Maybe we establish a home base of our own in Paragon, but wandering is more 4e, to me.

So after I 'procure' a city map, I would start with a list of businesses and people and put them all over the place. Looking at how the official books do it, there tends to be a small blurb, then a bit more information for those who know the place, and then some DM info about each one. The small blurbs I could do, which might spark some player interest in a particular place, and they write more, while I fill in the rest - or I could write the additional info for all myself but let players either overwrite it or just add to it.
Honestly not too exciting for me, but if you want to run it that way, I would be fine with it.

So to sum up my rambling post, how much input would you want in world creation? If we go with a kingdom, that is.
I am comfortable with only having periodic input. I do plenty of shared world-building in other games. As long as my character can be heroic as 4e intends him to be, I'm happy.
