I'm working on a fusion of Frontier Space and Space 1889 and I am considering testing/running it here on RPOL.

I am in regardless, sounds like an amazing concept.

This game would be played using Frontier Space rules heavily influenced by the Classic Space 1889 setting and actual Victorian (Alternate) History.

I've never heard of Frontier Space but I love Space 1889! Count me in!

Frontier Space is an updated version of the old TSR Star Frontiers game.

This game would use the mechanics of that system only.

How many players would you need/want?

Three would be enough for me to start (and I think we have 4?).

It would take me a bit to build the game so the start would not be immediate.

I had this exact idea before coming here. I would definitely be interested in playing.

I was going to go the route of having the Jules Verne's era engineers take a slightly different approach than starships. They were going to construct a vast Castle grounds in space, with a massive forest (to harvest for steam) and their own farms. Then have some lower decks for the workers and the nobility. I could imagine them having smaller craft to ferry cargo to and from their vessel.

Then do it kind of like Star Trek, except with Royal Marines, Hussars, and Grenadiers, and throw in some wild-west cowboys, Navajo Indians, A French Cavalier, Thomas Edison's older brother William Pitt Edison as "Master or Electrical Components and Engineering" and a few interesting NPC's in the crew to round things out while they explore ancient ruins and colonize it for her majesty Queen Victoria.

I can't imagine Victorians just exploring without exploiting.
