I took delivery of the Core Rulebook of the Swedish dark fantasy RPG, Symbaroum.  I don't think I have ever seen it played on here so I was wondering whether anybody would be interested in a playtest?

Are the rules available online anywhere?

I picked it up a while ago and have been really hoping to try it. It's got some really interesting things built into it. So I've been looking for an opportunity and keep searching for games here periodically. But you're right about the lack of games here. I think there was one game a little while ago in Hungarian, so I couldn't join that, and I think that's no longer active. If you're starting one up, I'm definitely interested.

I plan to try it once I've studied it properly. As you say, yes it is very interesting looking. I plan to use the Promised land scenario in the book as a starter, so if you haven't read it, don't (and if you have, let me know, so I can change it significantly.

I have not read it, and I will specifically not read it. :)

I've got the core rules and the Advanced Players Guide. I think the latter helps a lot because it provides more options without piling up as much - broader more than stronger. I could be wrong, though, as I haven't had a chance to play. Excited now!

I have only the core rules so will stick with that for now.

I just read through the Quick Start and it looks pretty interesting. I'd be willing to buy the book if you start a game.

I had never heard of the game prior to this thread, but read an on-line review, and it sounds really promising.

If you are inclined to start up a game, Alcuin, I'd be willing to order the core rule-book and jump into the deep end of the pool with you. :)

Okay, looks like there's enough people. I'll read through it and try to set up by the end of middle of August. I won't be using the promised land module after all because I'm essence it restricts player characters to being Ambian Humans.  I'm going to start in Thistle Keep to allow all five player races (Ambian Humans, Barbarian Humans, Changelings, Goblins and Ogres)
