Interest Checks - Various Games

Hey all,

I'd like to see which of them might prove popular, if any:

  • The Mutant Epoch: A gritty and dangerous post-apocalyptic game, using a system reminiscent of old school RPGs.
  • Starfinder: Pathfinder in Space! Well, it's more than that, but that's the sum of it.
  • Babylon 5: A d20 game that would run alongside the events of the hit television series.

I would most definitely be interested in anything related to Babylon 5, whatever the system.

I am tempted to suggest a Babylon 5 setting game that uses the Starfinder system, as the D20 B5 game was a bit clunky even when it first came out.

Glad to see Babylon 5 is somewhat popular. :) For clarification purposes, I'd use the Second Edition d20 rules, as I liked what I read of them (and have access to two of the important books).

I'd likely start with the Cold Equation module and then continue on from there with original storylines.

Alright, I might not be able to play with the Babylon 5 D20 system. :-( The only e-book format for the book I can find is on Scribd, and I find that site extremely questionable. It's not in DriveThruRPG, Kindle, or even directly on the Mongoose site.

Unfortunately, the physical book is like $79 on Amazon.ca, and that's more that I can afford right now. Not to mention that physical books are extremely hard for me to deal with.

Now, if you're cool was someone playing without access to the rules, I am definitely still interested.

I'm interested to see Starfinder play out!  I haven't had a chance to play it, and I actually like the setting...

Starfinder and Babylon 5 both seem popular. :)

Generally I'm okay with folks not having access to rulebooks, provided they're able to work with me extensively to accommodate it (and make notes on their end so I don't need to go over old ground).

One final book worth putting forwards is Unity - an epic fantasy RPG that someone has passed my way.

With regards to Starfinder: I MAY begin with an adventure path, or might just start off with something new. In either case, I'm likely to use a milestone advancement system for levelling, since experience totals are a bugger to track for me.

Regardless of the game, I do like to run things where the posting style is detail and description heavy, and would want players who like the same.

Always down for a Babylon 5 game.  Just had one die out from under me, again, recently... :(

I should have replied much earlier, but yes, I am fully willing to work with you and take notes. :-)

Whether I qualify for that would depend on your definition of detail and description heavy, but I'm certainly willing to try. I'm not able to do long posts since I'm limited in how much dictation my throat can manage every day, some days more than others. But, I'll do the best I can.

Re: Interest Checks - Various Games

I would be interested in Babylon 5: A d20 game.

Would we need books as I do not have any for B5 ?
