[IC] WH40k using the PDQ ruleset

I really enjoy the WH40k universe and "fluff", but I find the official WH40k RPGs to be too cumbersome.  Would anyone be interested in a game using a much lighter (and PbP friendly), more story-focused game?  There is a freeware version of the PDQ rules available at http://www.atomicsockmonkey.co...bies/di/pdq-core.pdf but I have a few modifications in mind to fit the WH40k theme.

For the game iteself, and idea I have been kicking around for awhile is using the Horus Heresy as a backdrop, where the players are group of various marines now caught in the midst of the fratricidal civil war.  Essentially, a group of Black Shields: marines who disavowed their chapter and acted on their own. (Some non-marine characters might fit too).

Does this sound interesting?

[IC] WH40k using the PDQ ruleset

Love PDQ as implemented in S7S and I'm a fan of the GrimDark. I don't mind the FFG ruleset but I've seen a really good implementation of 40K using Fate so I can see it working in PDQ.
