You and your companions serve as members of an irregular company at the border fortress of the Baron Nordham. You were lured here by rumors of great wealth to be had by those with the strength to take it. Nobles and merchants are looking for mercenaries to protect their lives and property from evil creatures as well as each other. Tales abound of ancient ruins lying just beyond the border that are filled with treasure, lost magic and undead horrors. The king’s heralds announce the location of monster infested caverns that serve as strongholds for all manner of beasts that plunder and pillage the settlements of men. Generous bounties have been placed upon the heads of these enemies of the kingdom. Perhaps you will be able to make a name for yourself in these savage lands and return to your humble villages and towns as heroes; or maybe you will be just another would-be treasure hunter that vanishes beyond the borders of civilization.
This game will use the Labyrinth Lord rules available for free at
https://goblinoidgames.com/index.php/downloads or the B/X DnD rules. This will be a sandbox style game, although there will be a starting adventure to get things going. After that there will be plenty of directions for the party to go and explore. I’m looking for 2-3 players to join an existing group of 5 players. Magic-wielding character classes are currently in short supply and so would be most welcome. All characters will start at second level. Players of all gaming experience are welcome.
