Directly inspired by Umbrella Academy on Netflix and heavily influenced by pulp adventure stories, conspiracy theories, old-school sci-fi and super hero stories.

Game Mechanics are based upon a modified version of the Storypath System from Scion: Origin. No prior system knowledge required, just bring your creativity.

Premise:

On October 1st, 1989 forty-three human women gave birth at the exact same hour. Forty-three women who that morning had not been pregnant on the previous day. Upon learning of this occurrence, the eccentric billionaire entrepreneur, inventor and explorer, Abe Campbell then set about to adopt as many of the so-called ‘miracle children’ as possible. In the end, despite his wealth and enthusiasm, he only managed to acquire a few. Mr. Campbell took these children to Daedalus Island, his private island on the St. Lawrence River in upstate New York. He dubbed the mansion he built there Daedalus Academy. For the next thirteen years Mr. Campbell lead a reclusive existence, educating his young charges in seclusion from the world. On October 1st, 2002, on the thirteenth birthday of the children, he revealed his charges to the world, as well as their astonishing special abilities as they foiled the a heist of valuable Atlantean artifacts on display at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC.

Over the next five years, the super powered teens, would achieve worldwide fame and recognition for their exploits in saving the world and foiling villainy under Mr. Campbell’s leadership. In 2008, on the children’s eighteenth birthday, several of the young heroes parted ways with Mr. Campbell and Daedalus Academy, citing the desire to lead their own lives outside of the controlling influence of Mr. Campbell.

Over a decade has passed since then and the remaining Daedalus Academy siblings, have pursued their own lives haunted by both the successes and failures of their past lives as teen super heroes. However, now a new tragedy has drawn them all together for the first time in eleven years: the sudden death of their father, Abraham B. Campbell.
