Supernatural: Bloodlines (based on Supernatural series)

SPOILER ALERT: Personally, I don't think you should have to be familiar with the Supernatural universe or show to play this game; However, if you don't wish to run into spoilers, this is not the game for you. I will not require those who are familiar with the show to be careful with what they say around those who aren't- that is way too much work on my end, and is not something I wish to do.

TL;DR? Skip to the bottom and take a peek at the general description.

quote:
Welcome to Chicago, a place rich in history and culture. The Windy City is home to Chicago style pizza and hotdogs, countless museums filled with beautiful art, and mind blowing architecture such as the Willis (Sears) Tower. It has been labeled as one of the finest tourist destinations in the U.S. and for good reason.

Despite the beauty of the city, it has a dark past- Chicago is famous for its corrupt politicians and organized crime. It was home to Al Capone once, after all.

Regardless of the attention drawn by the human crime, there are more sinister creatures lurking in the dark, pulling the strings. Chicago is home to five major 'monster' families, and countless other beasts that lurk in the shadows.

Move as one of the Duvals, as a werewolf, against the family of Shifters. Or join the Lassiters, the Shifters, in the defense of their territory, of their businesses and interests.

Join as one of the mysterious Valentines, as a Djinn. Or perhaps even as one of the lesser known Devereaux's (Ghouls) or Artest's (Sirens).

Or maybe even as a Hunter, seeking to rid the city of monsters once and for all.

Maybe you're none of these. Maybe you're simply a human, witch, or some other creature living in the city, trying to avoid getting dragged into the wars raging between the families.

Anything is possible in Chicago.

General Description
Supernatural: Bloodlines is based on the popular CW show, Supernatural, and named after an unpopular spin-off of the aforementioned series. The game will take place in the city of Chicago and follow the same general idea of Chicagoland in the Supernatural universe. We will be exploring the 'monster' scene within the city limits.

While this game is based off of Supernatural, we will most likely be derailing from that plotline, to create our own, in hopes of avoiding continuity errors.

There are five major families and prevalent species in Chicago- Lassiter (Shapeshifters), Duval (Werewolves), Valentine (Djinn), Devereaux (Ghouls) and Artest (Sirens). While these are the most prevalent species in the city, there are others sprinkled throughout, most being independent of the families altogether.

Come play as a Hunter, an unknowing human, or maybe even a member of one of the big 'monster' families. Dive head first into a story of monster, man and hunter. Knock off some of the competition in town, solve mysteries with the Chicago PD, or avoid the drama altogether. It's your call- do whatever you wish in this gangland, riddled with horrors.

RTJ/Species - link to a message in another game

All applicants are expected to read both threads, before applying.

DISCLAIMER: This is a free-form game, meaning that there will be no dice rolling or general system that the players have to adhere to. The GM(s) may roll dice behind the scenes, from time to time, to determine the outcome of a certain event, but that will not be something the players have to participate in. Likewise, there will be an overarching premade plot, but the majority of the game will be player led. I, and any other GM(s) that may join in the future, will not lead your character by the nose. If you're looking for a game that is heavily GM centric, this is not the game for you. That being said, I will be writing as some NPC's here and there and will be offering plot hooks, but you will need to be able to write your own story and interact with the other characters on your own for the most part. Do not expect to rely on the GM(s) for everything, we have lives as well and our time is limited, as is the case with most of you.

Supernatural: Bloodlines (based on Supernatural series)

Bump! We have a great cast so far, but would love to have some more characters join up!

I'm definitely wanting some more members of the five monster families, but other characters are welcome.

I will only be accepting one more Seraph for the time being (after the current applicants finish their concepts, making a total of three seraphim if someone else applies), in hopes of not blowing the ratio, but other angel classes (Cupid, Rit Zien, Grigori, etc.) are up for grabs.

We could definitely use some more 'monsters,' but could also use some demons to even out the angelic/demonic ratio.

Characters do not have to strictly be races/species that were on the show. As long as the creature you wish to be has a basis in mythology, I will consider it. The show is continually adding creatures from mythology, so I will stick to and apply that same rule.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss a character concept, feel free to contact me via Rmail or a 'Request Access' thread in-game.

The game is well underway and we have an excellent group of writers. Come join us. :)

Supernatural: Bloodlines (based on Supernatural series)

Bump!

Still looking for more characters! We still have plenty of spots open!

If you have an idea for a concept, but would rather not draw out an entire rtj before the idea is greenlit, feel free to message me via Rmail or a 'Request Access' thread in-game, and we can discuss your idea!

Still looking for members of the five monster families, but I'm still accepting other species, as well. Feel free to go in whatever direction you'd like with your concept.

We currently have:
Seraphim- 2 (only accepting one more right now)
Crossroads Demons- 1
Hunters- 1
Psychics- 1
Mediums- 1
Witches- 1
Djinn- 1
Rusalki- 1
Huldra- 1

We have a widely diverse cast, and the potential to keep growing.

If you have an old character from an abandoned game that you miss writing,  I'll do my best to help you reform the concept to fit the Supernatural setting.

If you have a new concept, or even a monster that wasn't on the show, as long as it has a basis in mythology, I'm willing to work with you to make it fit into the game.

Whether you're familiar with the show or not- if you love urban fantasy with a healthy mix of intrigue and supernatural/mythological influences, then this is the game for you. :)

(I will accept Lurkers, if anyone would like to take a look at the game threads and current stories, before applying.)

Always looking for more characters! There is currently a high profile murder being investigated, a Medium tapping into her abilities for the first time and a rampaging monster on the loose! Great time to join. :)
