Izumi stopped thundering trough the undergrowth, stopping dead in a small clearing in the woods.  Her breath was ragged, her lungs ached and heaved. Inside her ribs, her heart thundered like a taiko drum.  She tried to ignore all that and instead strain her ears, searching for another sound - another scream.

In its place, she heard a voice. It was soft, melodic.

"Izumi-chan, I suppose?"  said the voice. Izumi whirled around and came face to face with the dark-blue mempo of one of the Midnight Samurai, the elite guardians of the cursed Emperor.

"Who are you?  How did you know my -" she stumbled.

The samurai held up a hand. "Be quiet, Fox-demon.  I found your little friend and she told me you'd come.  I never thought to find a litter of kitsune pups."

Izumi was outmatched.  She was fourteen, and newly aware of her power as one of the fox-spirits.  Here, before her, was one of the elite Samurai, sworn to hunt out and destroy her race on the orders of their Master, Emperor Wu.  She could never hope to defeat such a foe.

But he had Mizuki, her sister.  Memories of the promise she had made to her terminally ill mother flooded her mind and filled her not with sorry but with something else.  Something cold and iron.

Welcome to 'The Last of the Kitsune', a game about fox-spirit teens in a world that hates them.  Players take the roles of the Kitsune and try to overcome the obstacles that arise that threaten their very lives - and worse - the fate of the whole world.  Using a mixture of guile, dramatic combat, magic and charisma, the kitsune must try to end the pogrom on their people and oust Emperor Wu from his throne before it is too late.  Along the way, the characters will meet many interesting individuals, friends and foe, with engaging side-quests of their own, causes of their own.  The game isn't stuck on rails, and so characters can go off script and do something they'd rather instead of facing the big-bad that they might.

The Game uses the Tiny Dungeon rules which are so simple, a rule book isn't really needed past character creation.  All that is really needed to join this game is a love for anime, a feeling for the setting, and a very cool concept that will work well with others.  Yes, that is right, i'm looking for team players both IC and OOC.  Please peruse the game threads and drop me a PM in the game to chat about playing.
