All Aboard the Crazy Train! (gauging interest)

Hi all,

I've been thinking of running the Call of Cthulhu Horror on the Orient Express campaign, which is one of the fantastically well-written CoC campaigns that Chaosium puts out. But because it's so demanding, I feel like I should check player interest.

It's big. Really big. Action takes place in multiple interlocking timelines (and multiple realities!), sometimes with alternate PCs. So it has the potential to take a loooooong time. That's why I am checking if people would be interested in this; it requires a pretty steady posting commitment, or it will outlast my natural lifespan. (and what will you do with a dead GM?!??)

On the other hand, the thing is fantastic, and I can promise you an interesting, rewarding experience that you won't forget.

What say you?

In reply to xenomorph (msg # 1):

I may be interested in some CoC. It's been a very long time since I've done any real RPG die system so not familiar with many of the systems but I'd probably give this a go.

Hi! Beginner of both rpol and CoC, but passionate player and interested in understanding how it works. Could you please explain how to play though rpol? Thanks

I love CoC and Lovecraftian thematics but have grown to despise the classic 1920s/30s setting era.  If you are ever running something in the modern world, count me in :)

I would love to join. I played CoC 30 years ago and then again some ten years ago. I never played this campaign although I might have flipped through the book once or twice these last 25 years, but I honestly don't remember anything from it.

I like story-driven rp more than character-development rp. I do like a well-developed character though, and to follow the character's development (into a full blown lunatic) through a campaign. It's just that the character development is not my main reason to play, the story is.

Edit: I have no experience of rpol but I'm very interested in learning to use it.
