Set 50 years after the sealing of the Whispered one, there have been several minor earthquakes that have been happening more frequently around the countryside. Through various sources, Allura Vysoren, the Master of Arcana and ally to Vox Machina, has heard rumors about a lost city known as Salar, and these rumors have caused her great concern as they revolve around the rumored Pillars of Earth that are said to hold up the very land of Tal'Dorei being sought out and destroyed. After consulting ancient text, she has determined that someone or something is seeking to plunge the entire continent into the Underdark, but who it is or for what reason is still unknown to her.

Given her age as well as Tal'Dorei's champions, she has assembled an expedition to delve into the depths of the Crystalfen Caverns to find the lost city and the Pillar of Earth that is said to reside there, but there is a warning that comes with joining this expedition. Salar has been said to drive those who have found it quite mad, but it is her belief that there is something hidden in those very Caverns that will shield one's mind to whatever sorcery might cause one to lose one's wits.

So what's say you? Will you be a brave soul that seeks out this lost city to save the land and quite possibly discover an untold amount of riches and mystery?

I'm looking for two replacement players/characters to take the spots of two players who blinked out so to speak. The game has barely begun as they have only gotten the task from Allura, and now they are on a sort of side quest to obtain a magical item to block out the madness side effect of seeing Salar.

The group consists of the following player run characters:

Human Barbarian
Kenku Wizard
Autognome Fighter
Aarakorca Rogue-Warlock

I'm not opposed to any more doubling up on classes, but the group will definitely need a healer of some sort. Backstories are welcome, and I have the vast majority of the published books for 5e so most any class/race/background is allowed. Anything that is a homebrew will be taken into consideration on a case by case basis.
