This is a HomeBrew Pathfinder game that deviates from RAW in too many ways for me to easily define.
This is an opportunity to engage in a Heavy Roleplay scenario where Guts, Brawn, and Brains can challenge the supernatural
beyond simply drawing steel. A place where any emotional motivation can be explored by all players ...
even the ones most never see in a conventional hero.
Looking for love in all the wrong places?
The genre of this game might be called by some as Grim Fantasy .. in that there is a sense of moral ambiguity.
But there is also the possibility of heroism beyond slaying the dragon and saving the damsel.
I'd call this game Fantastic Noir[link]... It's a game where the PCs are encouraged to have defining relationships with NPCs and each other. To become a key force of change when the direst times finally arise. To be given the freedom to run from being a customary hero. To challenge the doom, Fate has handed out for most standard players.
I expect nothing from my players except that they can roleplay their way out of a paper maze. And are willing to talk as much (or more) than they are willing to enter combat. And ultimately can retain a sense of loyalty to each other as a member of a party. Pick a fight with a player if you'd like...
but don't expect that PVP is the norm, or will be tolerated beyond first blush..
I already have a decently sized game but I'm always on the lookout for the right player addition. Think you might be a good fit ... or maybe your willing to try a dramatic fantasy without a safety net? I currently have two spaces in our ongoing plot. I'm seeking players who can handle games of dramatic intrigue where TRYING to kill the 'bad guy' isn't always the best idea.
If you are interested, please respond at my game site. I will only return here to this to the Bump ad.

...there seem to be some confusions of what I'm looking for in an RTJ.
This isn't a cattle call, asking for new players regardless of ability. Its an interview. I have a number of good players. I'd like to add a few more to that number. I need a reason for why I should anyone interested in a game that already has players in it ...and over other RTJs. This should go BEYOND a desire to play a specific class or race in combination. By the rant above I hope you can tell I've invested some time in this campaign world ... I don't expect you'll be able to meet that amount of investment.
I expect you to act like you want to be a part of that interest.
If you ARE interested in playing, your RTJ should include an answer to some of those pesky questions that define your character's background and personality. You should offer a number of minor to moderate hooks created by your reputation and moderate set of character accomplishments. The game will start for your character after having attained level five (5).
So what happened to your character's life up to then? You should have gotten into and out of some sort of limited trouble. What sort of trouble would that have been? Where would this character have gone on to have earned ANY of the experiences that got her past first level?
Tell me your story and I'll see if it can fit in ours.
