You are a servant or retainer of the royal family. A maid perhaps, or a courtier, a functionary, even a guard. The work is not overly glamorous, although it might be appealing regardless. You do get to live in the palace after all, and mingle with aristocrats and even royalty. You even have managed to befriend the youngest princess of the realm, a beloved and excitable young girl. You were destined to be a footnote perhaps, beloved by the princess but otherwise not noteworthy.

But fate has a funny way of changing at the slightest provocation.

After a surprise attack, the kingdom has fallen. You and the princess are forced to flee the country, swarmed by enemies within and without. It is your duty to survive, protect the princess, and find a way to take back the throne. You shall be thrust into a world stage you are probably not prepared for, full of entanglements and grave danger. Who would have thought that you'd ever be the hero?

At Your Service is a game about Royal servants and functionaries forced to become mighty heroes. Inspired by games and media ranging from Fire Emblem to a great many fantasy epics, players will have to navigate many dangers and crises while working to restore their homeland. Before the game, the players will have the chance to define the nation itself, several of its principle characters, and even the nature of its invaders. It is currently being run in the Shadow of the Demon Lord system, but that is up for debate. Come one come all, and enjoy an epic adventure!
