Romance-based Fantasy Game set in a Viking village

The village of Kaldthorpe eked out a living on the northern reaches. Farming, fishing, hunting, and raiding gave them what they needed, but it was never easy. So when winter came early this , the town elders were understandably worried. Food stores had not been prepared, and the food shortage had extended beyond the village because the wolves in the area were starting to come closer to town, even going so far as to attack and kill a few people. Then a freak blizzard struck Kaldthorpe, leaving in its wake a frozen tundra. But the storm also brought a visitor - a strange woman who was dressed in odd clothing and who spoke with an odd accent. Who was this snjóvarandi brought by the blizzard? And what did the Whims of Winter have in store for Kaldthorpe?

This is an experimental game in which we will be exploring a story with ROMANCE as the primary theme. It will be set in the Midgard Campaign Setting (using Pathfinder rules) but will be very geographically isolated. The campaign will take place in and around the village of Sternhus, where the player characters grew up and live. One player will be the male love interest, or lead, and the story will revolve primarily around the romance between that character and the strange woman who came in on the blizzard (which will be another player). Other things will be going on as well, and there is space, especially in PBP for side stories, etc.. Despite the focus being on two of the players, I would like some other strong supporting cast - perhaps a rival female love interest, perhaps a best friend, etc. I'd even be open to two different players having their own romance story on the side... (think The Holiday where there are two parallel love stories happening). Consider typical roles in romance stories and submit appropriately. If you would like the role of the stranger, I ask that you be a female, but other than that, have fun.

A note on combat in this game: My goal is to minimize combat in the traditional sense - not to say combat skills will not be important, but this will not be a primary focus. Keep that in mind when developing concepts - this is a "viking/norse" campaign, so martial prowess and strength are revered. And important. Just make sure you make a well-rounded character.
