Gurps Fantasy, low magic, FF inspired

I've done up a Gurps low magic Fantasy game using the old video game Final Fantasy 1 as my pattern. The game is meant to explore the use of Limited Magery and Thaumaturgy: Magical Styles to build Mages guilds with limited spell access.

The game will be mission oriented and fairly combat heavy. Dungeons and wilderness both, plus some bits of higher tech as the game progresses, and a world to save. All the usual High Fantasy elements.

While it IS based on a class based video game it is Gurps, and many of those restrictions won't apply. Mages can wear armor, if they have the strength for it, use swords (barring Vows), etc.

While I am not offering the full spectrum of Gurps possibilities, I AM offering some, if you've been looking for a Gurps Fantasy game. Feel free to check out the link above and see if it's something you'd be interested in.

We have a few characters in process, but could use a few more. As stated above, the game is Gurps, but Inspired by Final Fantasy 1, and using it as an outline to test out Limited Magery and Magical Styles.

Save a world on the brink of destruction, then, maybe, change the past so that the Crisis never happened.

In retrospect, posting an ad during the holiday week may not have been the wisest choice for getting noticed, so one final bump.

We need a couple more characters for a Gurps Fantasy game. High Magic, low spell casting ability due to the number of lost spells. The game is technically right on the edge of being a fantasy post apocalyptic game. It's based on and inspired by the old Video game Final Fantasy 1, but using Gurps rules, spells, etc, so there are going to be differences.

The game handles the lack of spells not only due to lost knowledge, but Magical Styles. Also, Limited Magery is being used for PC on the theory that if you guild doesn't teach it,why pay to be able to learn it?

Characters start in one of 6 guilds based on military professions from the War of Air..later the War of Air and Water. The survivors passed on what they could.
