You stand on the cusp of immortality; at once free, and at the same time joined to the innumerable links in a a chain of lineage; dark and powerful forebears that seek to mold you in their image.

It's 1938, Los Angeles, California. You've joined the ranks of the Undead three years before the Americans join the Second World War. One year before all of Europe starts to burn. Japan has already annexed part of China, and is stretching out her brutal fist for more. Nanjing has fallen. Chinese immigrants with opportunity flood California, many settling in San Francisco. Among their numbers are the first incursion of the mysterious Cathayan. To the south Tijuana, Ensenada, Nogales and Ciudad Juarez have fallen to the Sabbat, driving Camarilla, Anarchs, and Unaligned Vampires into San Diego and Mexicali, overwhelming the Anarch held Baronies. Rumors swirl about thin blooded Vampires and the first of the Caitiff eke out a coward's existence, feeding on rats and spreading disease; too weak to manifest the decisive traits of a Clan. As the ranks rise, so does the worthy work of the Scourges.

You awaken into city ripe with opportunity, surrounded by peril. Your nights are yours to conquer, or relinquish to the Final Death.

The setting for this campaign is 1930s-1940s Los Angeles, under the control of the Camarilla. (Players may make a limited number of Anarch characters; if desired, who will find themselves interacting with the Camarilla much of the time as the two groups have temporarily joined forces against the dual threats of the Sabbat and the Cathayan.) No Sabbat characters, though antitribu may be allowed on a limited basis.

Requests to join should include at least three loose character concepts and a writing sample.
