The Families of  New York is a contemporary game where in players play as characters in the italian mafia or those that are connected to the italian mafia in some way, such as extra muscle they hire or family members. The game takes place in NYC. The game focuses on the struggles of being a criminal in contemporary america trying to not only avoid death and imprisonment but also thrive. This is a serious, gritty vision of the New York mafia scene.

With this rp, I'm hoping to foster a environment which promotes good writing and being a team player and realism in game. The mafia scene in this game is represented by a fictionalized version of the five crime families of New York which are under NPC control initially. Through in game action the players themselves can take over those families or attempt to create their own.

Sounds like a fantastic idea, but freeform leaves a very sour taste in my mouth where death is a possibility. Hit me up if you're ever willing to do it in a system.
