BEHIND SHADOWS
-------------------------------------------------------
Behind the shadows of our world, exists a landscape of horrors and wonders that defy everyday experience. Magic and the supernatural roam alongside arcane super-science and alien infiltrators. Secret societies vie for dominance over the world, and well-funded government organizations operate in secret, defending everyday life from the terrors that lurk in dark places.
In this grand world of hidden wonders, what are your secrets? Are you a vampire? A wizard? Are you a monk with strange powers, or a servant of a dark god? Or are you a normal person surrounded by mystery? Do you fight to save the lives of others, or only your own? What is your story?

Behind Shadows is a semi-open, semi-freeform game that will likely utilize a light version of the FATE system. Players may take on a wide range of roles, and will start their stories either solo, or in small groups. Eventually, some greater mystery will start to draw players together, mashing-up what might otherwise be wildly different genres and concepts!
The key theme that will tie all of these character together is the idea that these people live and operate in a world of secrecy and shadow. Vampires, wizards, dragons, and aliens... all of them do their best to remain hidden from regular human society, not because they fear humans, but because it's in their interest to avoid attention. If a force-wielding monk from Shangri-La suddenly showed up on the nightly news, they would call attention to themselves from people, forces, and
monsters that might seek to take advantage of them! There's always a bigger fish in this world, and the best defense is to remain undetected!

I'll be accepting RTJs on an ongoing basis. For now, I'm going to cap the number of players at between five and seven, so it's possible we'll fill-up quickly! The first wave of invitations (no more than four) will go out 2-4 days after this post, and new RTJs will be assessed as they come in from then on.
Thank you for you interest, and I hope to see you on the other side!
