Repo Men - Hard(ish) Sci-fi about folks with limited empathy
"Everybody wants something they can't afford. For one schmuck it might be a fancy new house for his trophy wife on a garden world moon, for another maybe it's a governorship of some politico-corporate entity, bought and paid for in promised votes and vetoes, and for another perhaps it's a new state-of-the-art heart for his poor sick daughter whom he so sweetly and stupidly wants to save from an early grave, failing to see a quick exit from this 'verse might be a more merciful gift. For all those cases and more you got us, the Repo Men, those that get paid a pretty penny to take things back when payment ceases. What that means exactly can include a whole spectrum of morally ambiguous tasks but hey, it sure beats a day job. So if you think you have what it takes, you got skills and creative thinking and no family or damned conscience to trip you up, maybe you could have a place in our organization. Who knows, maybe you'll even survive long enough to start getting matches on your 401K."
