Digimon: Digital World Expeditionary Force
Mission Background
After the Digital Gate incident of five years ago and a digital world was discovered The Digital World Expeditionary Force was formed. After the Data to Matter Phenomenon was observed, a phenomenon where data from that world converts into matter once it reaches our world. The DEF was created to explore this world and seek out resources and sources of energy to bring back to our world to undergo the Data to Matter Phenomenon for the benefit of mankind.
Mission Parameters
You are the first wave of the expedition and will serve as Reconnaissance and your primary objective is to find an optimal location for our base of operations. Until you secure a position you will be on your own at that time you will activate the beacon to open a gate at your location. It is very important that you do not open the gate until this time.
So far the only fauna indigenous to the Digital World that we are aware of have been hostile and non-sentient. If attacked, defense is permitted but do not endanger the ecology of this world we know so little about. If their are sentient beings in that world then make contact and do not secure resources without securing the rights to them. Be diplomatic in your approach. Your secondary objectives are to study this world.

* Data Stunners (Modified stun-gun that stuns local fauna long enough for PDMs to defend)

This game will be a semi-sandbox where the players are 18-25 and come from different organizations around the world. For example US special forces or straight out of a Harvard PhD program. Your characters are limited to your imagination but they can't just be some average high school kid with no skill set. They have to be someone with skills to contribute.
