Mage Technocracy campaign

We are looking for a new player:

*Information Expert (position is open): You gather information and relay it to your team. More often than not you are backed up by a network of informants. Information tends to have strings attached or requires hacking, bribing and interrogation.

Convention is open but most likely NWO or Iteration X.

Mage Technocracy campaign

I'm opening the game for more players so open sollicitations are welcome.

Currently i'm looking for players to operate from The Hub.
Located in an underground facility underneath Union Station this Amalgam keeps track of who comes in and who goes out of Los Angeles through Union Station’s transport hub. They also keep track of various cameras and Manar detectors manned by Citizens elsewhere in the city, such as LAX and the harbor region. If a reality deviant is detected either they are tagged and tracked by Hub agents or Citizens, or VIGIL is called in if the situation needs dealing with immediately. The Hub is primarily an NWO, and more specifically, a Watchers operation but other conventions can have representatives. It handles long term investigations, infiltration of tradition chantries or suspect amalgams, internal investigations, stakeouts, setups. spying. It shares this information with other amalgams, like VIGIL, on a need to know basis. When needed Hub agents work directly with VIGIL on a mission to mission basis.

If there are enough interested players I'll also open up The Association for players to have a part in. The Association is the main amalgam for syndicate Enforcers and which resembles a crimefamily more than anything else. Its membership changes regularly and infighting is not uncommon. A lot of their work involves dealing with other supernatural factions trying to control the criminal underworld of LA. Los Angeles has been nicknamed the Gang Capital of America, with an estimated 120,000 gang members and 1,350 gangs.

Mage Technocracy campaign

In reply to Falkhor (msg # 20):

This plot idea is a tradition mage belonging to the Order of Hermes

Before his introduction into the magical world, this character was a philosopher. He didn't believe in anything that didn't have a credible burden of arguments. He believed in smallest particles, because the theories that made use of those seemed to him to be correct. He believed in time, because general relativity seemed acceptable to him. He believed in consciousness, because it seemed elementally irreducible.

All of these ideas he felt at peace with in the days before his awakening. All that his awakening has shown him is that his ideas are right. He has got the correct paradigm to assess reality, and clearly all the other ones are wrong. If pressured, he can provide extensive arguments why this is so (and this would probably occupy a significant wordcount in in-game posts)

You've rejected me once before, but I feel like a mage with this concept can serve as a perfectly valid monster of the week, or as a multi-week antagonist. Think you can cast a spell? Guess again. There's a mage trained in fallen world law overseeing your supernal efforts. Goetia don't want to deal with him, mortals try to avoid him. He's the judge judy of the supernal realm, and he's not about to let your broken faith conjunction go through.

Mage Technocracy campaign

Heya, at the time I was looking to consolidate the Technocracy first and was looking for a limited number of players. Presently I'm looking to expand the setting to allow a wider variety.
Let's continue talking in the thread we used earlier.

Mage Technocracy campaign

We can still use a few more players for the Technocracy. In particular the Hub, the main information gathering center, and the Association, the syndicate amalgam.

While the game started as a Technocracy campaign i'm open to hear other World of Darkness ideas to integrate into our world, Tradition mages or possibly other denizens of the dark.

I'm also open to hearing ideas for Monster of the Week roles. these tend to be temporary roles which pitch you against the other players in a similar way as Monster of the Week episodes do on tv. Ideal for players who want to try out a certain type of character that might be difficulty to place in another campaign: Demon, Fomori, Spectre, etc.
