You all start at an inn. These six words represent the beginning of hundreds of adventures, thousands of heroes have begun their epic journeys at this basic starting point. The calm before the storm. The relaxing and exciting recreation before the long, bloody trip into the dungeon. This game begins with such a premise, such a promise. You will take the role of  a fledgling adventurer in the town of Ashvale, betting your life in a gamble to capture the treasures that lie in the eldritch dungeons, mastering the powers of magic and battlecraft.

This is a game not only about the adventure, but exploring what it means to be an adventurer. Exploring why adventurers exist, how they fit into the world, and why they are necessary. This is a game about exploring even the concept of dungeons, and finding out why they exist, and what random hoards of magical items and gold can do to a world. This is a game that explores the concept of pure, terrifying monsters, and what they mean for the setting as a whole. This is a world that needs heroes...and that not so enviable position is up to you.

Enter a game inspired by the likes of Warhammer Fantasy, Vagrant Story, and the Witcher. The game is currently run through a black-box, rules-lite style where the mechanics are behind the scenes. Just play and see what happens. Discussions for other methods including the implementation of a formalized system can be handled in game.
