Arkham Massachusetts the home of Miskatonic University, with its gothic homes, its expansive streets and its beautiful scenery. This is your home, be it where you moved to recently, where you have come due to a job, schooling at the Miskatonic University, or have lived here all of your life. You have family, friends and loved ones here.

It is in short life.

Still, there are things unknown, things that go bump in the night, and those things are real, oh so very real. You have each had a brush with them and you have each become aware there are things out their in the night. Scary things, nightmare things, things that will haunt your dreams forever.

So was it really a surprise when you were contacted by professor Edgar Lawson. A well known psychologist who had written numerous papers and medical journals on human nature, and the effects of fear on the psyche. He is looking to investigate a local presumed haunted hotel. First he needed a team.
