War...its not just a mortal concept. We immortals just take it to a whole new level. Our enemies are everywhere and our allies are only able to be trusted as long as their agendas match with our own. It only takes one moment for old friends to become new enemies. Playing the odds are a way of life for us and each alliance a gamble.
Those old alliances are unraveling and with each strand our world becomes more and more visible to those around us. Humans, while not the most intuitive creatures have a propensity for destruction and death beyond what we elders can even envision. Their technology advanced and their knowledge grew. Still they showed an intelligence that has avoided us. That is to say that they knew the masses were not the best soldiers and so they hid the knowledge of our supernatural world from most of the mortals and instead created shock troops that we have taken to calling templars.
Templars...an archaic term...a better one would be inquisitors but instead of leaving a trail of false accusations behind them they have developed methods of detecting our kind with frightening accuracy. Whole courts have been laid to ruin. At first we tried to manipulate them from the shadows but our normal methods have not had the usual affect. Now we have gathered our own troops and have begun to actively combat the mortals. Many have died on both sides and many innocents have perished. After every conflict we leave behind Rivers of Blood and death. It is here that you have been brought into our war. You are now part of our conflict and you will decide the fate of our race. Are you ready to fight or will you die like a dog in the street?
Time to take up arms and save our society...Can you do as I ask or is all hope lost?...
