Hi all,
I'm pretty new to RP, but I won't let that stop me.
This is a bit of a post-apocalyptic setting, where the US/NATO decided to replace their homan soldiers with robots.
Obviously, this went wrong, and now you (and your group) have to survive in the world that remains.
The system is free-form, but loosely based on GURPS (lite).
For you character, I suggest you simply pick a name, give a short bio, and maybe 2 or 3 things that character is good at.
Here are some suggestions:
- Luke, a self-taught computer programmer with an almost unhealthy love for all things tech-related. Built his first line-following robots when he was 10 years old. Socially not that good though.
- Betty, a psychologist by trade. She really helps with group morale, and is also good at interacting with survivors. In love with Jake.
- Jake, who was a soldier before being replaced by a machine. Can use a gun, and received basic military training. He's as good as married to Betty, completely in love.
- Holly. She was a receptionist before the attack. She knows how to use a gun, and is very good at calculating in her head. She's understands technology quite well, and although she's not a programmer, she learns quickly. Can be a bit overconfident at times, which sometimes gets the group into trouble, but also occasionally brings them some extra rewards as well.
- Yousouf. Before the attack, he sold vacuum cleaners. Yes, the door-to-door salesman kind who just wont leave before you buy his stuff. If you encounter another group and want to trade, he's the guy you want to do the talking.
- Wilson, ex-military like Jake. He was halfway through his training as a field medic, but was let go when the decrease in human soldiers also meant a decrease in wounded that needed to be treated. (Or so they thought, anyway.)
Feel free to use these characters as they are, to modfiy them, or to invent one completely.
I do recommend at least one player chooses someone who can handle technology.
Also, feel free to post any suggestions.
