I am looking for a player or two to join a 13th Age system game set in the world of the 13th Age book. Icons do not have quite as much influence on the game as in a normal 13th Age game, but otherwise all the other mechanics are in play.

You must follow the RTJ rules to be considered.

Your character would be coming to a town named Lero because of this dream:

The darkness swirls around you. The air is heavy with it, almost as if it were a mist or even a light rain.

You carve through it with your bare hands, cutting it as if it were fabric. You emerge on the other side and see something peculiar.

It is a strange spiral structure, circling up into the sky some twenty feet, and then down into the ground. People seem to have found places to live on the outside of the thing in homes of various sizes--people of various races, all living here.

You see clouds surrounding the structure on all sides, and you hear the rumbling of something tunneling through the earth as well. These people are in danger.

You look around and see a couple of other faces that you are familiar with--friends you did not expect to find here but who feel like they belong here with you.

The world seems to zoom in on the face of a child. She looks up right at you with plaintive eyes that beg for your help. And behind her, in a deep voice, you hear the words, "Come to Lero."

You start awake, and look around to find the place you were sleeping. And, yet, you feel as if this dream were somehow real...

Interested in playing 13th age, but I haven't played it before.  I have all the books and am kind of familiar with them.  I would be ok playing a healer if you all are willing to take on a noob to the game, but experienced RPGer.  I can pretty much post 1-3 times daily, as I'm an office based worker.  Cheers and let me know!  Thanks!

I am looking for a replacement player for the character upon whom the plot hinges. Not important, or anything :-)

I have some nice perks for the player who takes over the character and is willing to commit for at least a year to playing the character. One of the primary changes is that you can rebuild the character as long as you keep the name, race and backstory. (Or if you can come up with a reason why we can change the race on the fly, I'm open to creative suggestions.)

You need to be willing to be a leader-type to an entire town of souls on the frontier of the Dragon Empire and someone destined to save the world, if you play your cards right.

You do not need to know the 13th Age system to start. You just need to be a good-quality writer and be interested in an epic role in a stable campaign.

My average campaign length here on RPOL is about 2 years now (and counting), so this is a stable game.
