Dungeon World: The Forests of Coravia

Corovia is a land dominated by an endless thick forest that carpets the landscape. Deep valleys and steep bluffs slashes in the greenery, and through them the last evidence of Those That Came Before can be seen. By venturing into the deepwood it is possible to find fortunes beyond imagining, knowledge that surpasses comprehension, or an unmarked grave. The creatures that inhabit the deepwood are often dangerous, and the people that choose to live there are rarely any better.

The deepwood's mythical temples and complexes, built by Those That Came Before in the distant past contain wonders that exceed the myriad dangers, but are only accessible to those courageous enough to brave them.

Who will pass through the creeping darkness of the deepwood, outwit the clever traps and fiendish guardians, and return home with the treasure of the Old Ones? Only the brave, the clever, and the quick, have any chance at all.

This game will be run with Dungeon World, a very simple fantasy game that is easy to learn and simple in play. The rules can be found here: http://www.dungeonworldsrd.com/

The player characters will be a team of adventurers heading deep into the forests of Corovia in the hopes of finding treasure, forgotten lore, or eternal fame in the stories of the bards. We will be creating the setting as a group, so you will have a chance to add almost any detail you see fit.

I'd like to join, if you've still room.

Quothbruk is from the dwarven mountain stronghold of Narn, to the northwest of Harvesthold. Originally, anyway. As one of those somewhat 'off' dwarves that can stomach roaming under open skies for months at a time, he was hired shortly after reaching adulthood to protect parties scouting for groves of exotic trees - matured, ready for felling and processing into expensive goods. (The prices nobles of all races will pay for a dwarven sword with a one-piece Bloodwood handle, or a Dragonseye Burl banquet table!) He's not spent a lot of time in Narn since then, instead

Corovia sounds to him - and his employer - like the perfect place to find never-before-seen woods that will fetch unheard of prices. This time Quothbruk is on his own, though.

Hey, click on the game link at the top of the screen and submit a request to join RTJ. I think the game is full, but one player hasn't posted yet and might be a drop. I doubt the GM will look here for a while, so..... Send the RTJ :)

Check out the Setting Details thread. On the other hand you can also create setting details whole cloth.
