"The Fate of the Hinterlands" is a Dungeons & Dragons 5e story set in a homebrewed world (similar to Forgotten Realms) that will follow a handful of inhabitants of a farming region as they rise to prominence in the absence of the previous generation of heroes.

We are currently looking for six 1st-level characters to form a party. No evilly-aligned characters and no loners.

To apply, send a basic character concept, including intended class and race, a rough description of his/her personality, and a brief background sketch. Do not send a completed character sheet.

I am right now creating a barbarian dwarf. I am still getting acquainted with the D&D 5e system so I will need some more time to create a good background looking at the tools the PHB offers. But definitely interested.

I would be interested. Though, could you define "No loners" more specifically? Are introverts verbotten, or are you referring to more extreme cases, like flat-out misanthropes?

We've had several players leave and are now at a good point to replace some of them.

We are specifically looking for two 1st-level characters to join a relatively new party in and around a small town in a rural area.

There might also be room for one or two 8th-level characters to join a well-established party working to protect the region from a powerful threat looming on the eastern horizon, if the concept is really good.

All standard (i.e. in the Player's Handbook) races and classes will be considered for either party, as long as the character is willing to work with others.

Interested in 1st level. I only have the free basic rules though and have no intentions of getting the others as I'm quite happy with 4e and my other RPG systems. But if these basic rules are fine then I'd love to play.
