A player has disappeared during the lengthy prologue, and we're looking for one or two more players keen to jump into a homebrew setting, homebrew rules game already in progress. You can consult the game wiki to get a feel for it all. Requirement is for a missionary character, so that would be a Haedrasian with a background in the Imperatry Temple.

Outlanders is the story a group of missionaries sent from a vast theocratic to a foreign northern land where a new and radical religion is meteorically growing, threatening to swallow the minds and souls of good citizens with a single message: there is but one true god. Voices must be raised against them. These heathens cannot be allowed to poison the empire!

The system is a bit daunting at first, and the setting is detailed, however there are three amazing players grandfathered into their characters.

So, who's keen to come aboard?

100% agreed you'd have to be up for a few pitfalls.

I've chosen a story-concept that takes characters out of their comfort zone, so that players can familiarize with the setting as their characters do, but I don't want to sugar-coat the fact that the homebrew/homebrew combo will undoubtedly throw up some obstacles, despite my best efforts. I've been trialling and testing the system in private play for about ten years, so it's pretty robust, but by no means "out of beta" as it were.

I don't want to over-reassure people, there will likely be some familiarity hiccups. I'm expecting them, and prepared to make them as low impact as I can.

If the setting were to allow the players to be 'tourists' in your new setting, it would be viable for the characters to poke and probe the setting and discover the world first hand, instead of sitting through required reading.

Sorry if I sound impatient, it has been a while since I've had my roleplay fix.

If leeway and flexibility are given to the players, actions can be declared and the GM can explain the rolls and apply the rules, I'd be happy to join this party. :)
