However while the great seer Alaundo had predicted the Seven Scourges of Cormyr over a thousand years ago however it is whispered that he whispered on his death bed about an eighth, a final strike against the weakened nation.
The numerous enemies of the nation from evil Zhentarim to the greedy Sembians can smell the blood in the water and fearsome powers are circling the reeling realm. In response Alusair Obarskyr has put out a call for adventurers to flock to the land. In exchange for serving the throne in restoring order they are offering free adventurer charters, normally quite expensive and restrictive to obtain.
The players are one such group of hopeful adventurers drawn to Suzail for glory, greed, or adventure. Will they prove to be hidden saviors of Cormyr? Will they unravel the mysteries behind Alaundo's lost prophecy?
The Cormyr Crisis is a modification of a game that ran (and unfortunately died) over a year ago. The players will start out at first level and embark on a journey throughout Cormyr and eventually branching out into neighboring Sembia, a journey through the Underdark, travel to fabled Waterdeep and more. The expectation is that the players will end around 16th level or so (although the tale doesn't have to end there!).
