In a dark time of kings and nations, paranoia and war, a existence of the burning hells must remain a secret.

Arcane knowledge keeps finding its way into the hands of those who would abuse it, and so a secret organization of wizards and warriors, priests and politicians, was formed to keep knowledge of demons and their summoning from the hands of people who would abuse that power.

Not to say that all demons are evil, there are many who actually help the organization, but most see humans as a resource and will actively work from the shadows and use their cultists to bolster their forces.  It is up to the players to investigate these cults and keep your fellow mortals blissfully unaware of these dark forces.
