An X-Men game without X-Men
What would happen if Xavier never formed the X-Men? What if the world turned on mutants, afraid of the destructive potential and disgusted that genetic freaks could be their neighbors, their coworkers, even their loved ones? What if governments around the world were hunting mutants, imprisoning them... Or worse?
What chance would mutants have?
There's the Brotherhood. Guided by Magneto, they've waged a losing battle for over a decade now. Beaten, their ranks depleted, they soldier on knowing that every mutant lost is another nail in their coffin. But this is a war, and losing means extinction. They are willing to sabotage, destroy and kill so that their kind can survive another day. They take in any and all mutants that need them, trying to protect them from a world that hates and fears them.
You are a mutant. Perhaps you`re a late bloomer, your powers just activating. Or perhaps you've lived for years with this secret, always looking over your shoulder. Either way, the secret's out, and you're on the run. In the far corners of the internet, spray painted in back alleys, whispered from mutant to mutant are clues for those who look. Clues that will lead you to the Brotherhood. To safety. To Avalon.
Hidden away in an abandoned corner of war-torn America, they attempt to find some peace, rebuild their lives with their fellow mutants. But factions within the Brotherhood are trying to pull them to their cause and these mutants will find out that surviving the humans may not be their greatest challenge.
Starting up a freeform, darker X-Men game. Or rather, a X-Men game without X-Men. Looking for interesting, well-rounded characters over flashy powers, from mature players who can write well (and about four times a week). Check out the information in the thread and submit your RTJs. Take your time. This isn`t first-come-first-served. I`ll be accepting applications until next Wednesday.
